Job summary

Hight Logistics in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Dispatcher to join our team of logisticians specializing in port drayage with EV trucking emphasis. The Dispatcher will coordinate Licensed Motor Carriers and drivers, ensure accurate data entry in the TMS, and monitor shipments to minimize per diem and revenue loss.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years related experience in transportation or dispatch.
• Supervisory experience in the transportation industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and third-party carriers and update TMS promptly.
• Coordinate with LA/Long Beach ports for container pickups/deliveries.
• Monitor fleet location via tracking systems and check calls.
• Maintain records and ensure timely, accurate information entry.
• Communicate daily progress and issues to management and CSR.
• Provide coaching and guidance to dispatch team members.
