Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc. seeks a motivated Structural Project Manager in Port Arthur, TX to lead waterfront facility design and inspection projects. You will own projects, manage schedules, budgets, and client relations, and supervise junior staff.

PE certification and 5+ years in relevant design/inspection is required. The role involves field work, potential nights/weekends, and advancement opportunities within a leading ENR Top 500 design firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience or the equivalent thereof.
• Experience in inspection and/or design of marinas, marine terminals, ports, wharves, piers and sea walls.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification required.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs moderately difficult engineering computations.
• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment for documents.
• Performs inspection work and directs inspection staff on waterfront projects.
• Field work may include nights and weekends.
• Prepares and oversees engineering plan and report development.
• Provides construction support in office and field to ensure conformance with plans.
• Responsible for project schedules and timely completion.
• Monitors project budgets and communicates with clients.
• Assists in proposal preparation, project scoping, estimating costs and planning.
• Directs and supervises entry-level engineers, technicians, drafters, and staff.
