Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc. is seeking a motivated Engineer Diver for our Port Arthur, Texas office. The role combines civil engineering with underwater inspection tasks to support waterfront projects and infrastructure safety.

The successful candidate will work with senior engineers in a hands-on environment and pursue professional development. Open water diving experience is required, and EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within one year is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 0-5 years of experience.
• Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) or ability to obtain within one year.
• Open water diving experience required.
• ADCI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs waterfront, underwater and topside bridge inspections.
• Assists in inspection and assessment reports.
• Reviews and interprets plans and design drawings.
• Documents findings and assists in the completion of inspection and assessment reports.
• Supports the development of recommendations for maintenance or repairs.
• Collaborates with senior engineers/technicians on inspections.
• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare project deliverables.
• Communicates effectively with engineering teams and project stakeholders.
• Travel primarily regionally.
