Bexar County seeks a Population Health Data Manager to support the Department of Preventative Health and Environmental Services. Under supervision, you will analyze population health data, create forecasts, and develop dashboards to guide public health strategies.

You will collaborate with division heads, share data with partners, and present insights to inform programs aimed at reducing health disparities and improving community health outcomes.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree (master’s preferred) in demography, epidemiology, data science, or public health or closely related field, and seven (7) years data analysis experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to manage and train employees; communicate effectively with diverse groups
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
• Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance
• Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test
• Must have valid Texas driver’s license or reliable transportation

Responsabilidades

• Define complex statistical analyses and modeling outputs for stakeholders
• Design analyses and reports to explore large data and identify patterns in health risk
• Apply statistics and data management to translate data into meaningful content
• Develop risk stratification models to understand vulnerable populations
• Create care pathway models and stratify populations by risk for targeted strategies
• Present findings verbally, in writing, and with visuals
• Suggest performance improvements and analytics solutions
• Build dashboards and KPI designs using data warehousing concepts
• Collaborate with partners to deliver actionable insights
• Represent the department on internal and external committees
