Job description

Are you a healthcare claims data analytics expert seeking purpose by being part of a team committed to supporting doctors, hospitals, and health plans to ensure patients receive the right care at the right place and time? General Summary

Under minimal supervision, the Lead for Customer Analytics with Healthy Populations performs complex project work. This may include technical analyses or facilitating large multi-disciplinary groups. The Lead may work independently, as a project team lead, or in a consulting capacity for unassigned projects. They analyze data related to their technical expertise, may train staff, serve as a technical consultant, prepare reports and recommendations for management, and coordinate implementation. They communicate regularly with senior management and serve as a resource across the system to support population health initiatives.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Analyze complex financial and clinical scenarios to support decision-making, including financial, clinical, and operational improvements. Gather and interpret claims, clinical, and administrative data to build financial models, make assumptions, and reach conclusions. Lead cross-functional efforts and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  2. Support total cost of care analytics by analyzing cost and utilization data, providing reports, and making recommendations.
  3. Act as project lead for customer analytics initiatives, developing project plans, analyzing data, designing reports, and coordinating presentations.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to determine data needs and enhance strategic analysis. Share intelligence across groups.
  5. Create and update customer models, including cost and utilization projections and data trends.
  6. Conduct analyses to improve value-based care delivery.
  7. Work with IT to diagnose, correct, and validate data issues in business intelligence tools.
Education/Experience Required
  1. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  2. At least 2 years leading complex projects.
  3. At least 5 years of extensive data analytics experience, preferably in health insurance or healthcare, with a focus on value-based care.
  4. Experience analyzing claims, clinical, and administrative data to deliver insights on total cost of care.
  5. Ability to develop project plans, analyze data, design reports/dashboards, and communicate insights.
  6. Experience in data visualization and storytelling.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
  8. Experience with Power BI and Tableau preferred.
  9. Experience with Epic is a plus.
