Job summary

Hot Topic, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver an engaging shopping experience for fans of music and pop culture. You will apply product knowledge, assist customers on the floor, and process sales at the register while promoting add-on options and curbside pickup.

You will also help with planogram changes, maintain visual standards, and support a team-focused environment to ensure the best in-store experience for fans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a retail environment.
• Superpowers in providing customer service and selling.
• You’ll have to be at least 16 years of age to join the fandom force.
• Avenger-like collaboration and communication skills.
• Able to navigate your way around the store, merchandise product using approved store equipment, and pack/unpack boxes up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that encourages customers to return, leveraging product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Cover the sales floor zone and maintain visual standards.
• Operate the register and drive add-on sales with benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Assist with planogram changes including store map, walls, fixtures, and merchandising mix.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Prevent theft and ensure store security in collaboration with Store Management.
• Keep stock room organized and store tidy; contribute to a team-oriented environment.
