Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Ownership in Lahaina, HI seeks a maintenance engineer to respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot MEP systems. The role requires reading blueprints and electrical schematics and operating large pool and water features with minimal supervision.

Qualified candidates will have 4–6 years hands-on pool experience and a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years hands-on experience operating large swimming pools and water features.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read standard blue prints and electrical schematics related to plumbing and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions to guests with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Troubleshoot and repair hotel MEP equipment, including pumps, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Display proficiency with hand and power tools and use Lockout/Tagout safety practices.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts as needed; document issues and actions.
