Job summary

Pool & Spa Depot in Kentucky is hiring a Pool & Spa Service Technician. This hands-on, customer-facing role ensures pools and spas operate safely and efficiently while delivering excellent service.

You will inspect on-site, balance chemicals, test equipment, install new pool gear, and guide customers on operation. Our team values mechanical aptitude, strong communication, and a professional appearance to represent us well.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a related field such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, equipment installation/repair, general maintenance or construction.
• Willingness to learn with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service mindset with clear communication skills.
• Professional appearance and ability to work in customer-facing environments.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and handle equipment safely and work outdoors.
• Open availability to work weekends and overtime as needed during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service while performing pool and spa maintenance and repair.
• Conduct on-site inspections, assess water quality, and perform maintenance tasks (cleaning filters, balancing chemicals, troubleshooting equipment).
• Test installed equipment to ensure proper working order.
• Install new pool equipment and assist with pool openings and closings.
• Provide clear, friendly, and professional guidance to customers on equipment use and pool care.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and manage inventory.
• Work safely while lifting and handling equipment, following proper safety protocols.
• Arrive at customer homes with a professional appearance and respectful demeanor, representing the company positively.

Preferred (Not Required)

• Pool & Spa industry experience
• CPO Certification
• Experience working with pumps, filtration systems, or water systems
