About the Role
Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a dedicated Restaurant Server for South Seas, a premier resort located on Captiva Island, Florida. This position offers the opportunity to provide outstanding service in a beachfront restaurant environment, ensuring guests receive a memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform direct hospitality procedures with all guests daily.
- Attend pre‑shift meetings with staff and management to review restaurant operations.
- Set up tables and stations following the set‑up checklist, and take guest orders efficiently.
- Serve all food and beverage items in a timely manner while maintaining food safety and equipment care.
- Complete daily shift operation reports and communicate special guest requests to the kitchen.
- Detail tables and menu items before each meal period and assist with bussing and pre‑bussing duties.
- Read and execute Restaurant BEO forms and exhibit thorough knowledge of the food, wine, and cocktail menus.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude and uphold the restaurant’s standards of quality, presentation, and sanitation.
- Follow the associate schedule, work assignments, and other duties requested by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; preference for experience in a hotel or related field.
- Minimum 6 months of service, basic bartending, or cashiering experience considered a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and pass a motor‑vehicle background check.
- Minimum age 18 for serving/selling alcohol in Florida.
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (state‑compliant) and Food Handlers Certification (state‑compliant).
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
- Strong multitasking and initiative skills; ability to handle stressful, high‑pressure environments.
- Excellent listening and communication abilities; teamwork orientation.
- Professional appearance, grooming, and adherence to uniform standards; footwear must be slip‑resistant with enclosed toe and heel.
Physical & Work Conditions
- Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for prolonged periods; lift up to 40 pounds.
- Work in both indoor and outdoor settings, including extreme weather conditions.
- Full 40‑hour week with flexible schedule; weekends and holidays required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly rate: $12.00 per hour plus tips.
