Job summary

FNSB — Temporary Worker is seeking an aquatic attendant to oversee spectator safety and staff support in pool areas. Responsibilities include enforcing rules, lifesaving, first aid, and cleaning duties, plus basic office tasks such as POS transactions.

Candidates must be 16+, hold ARC First Aid, Lifeguard, CPR-PR certificates or equivalent, and obtain Water Safety Instructor certification within 180 days. Weekend shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Certification in Standard First Aid, Lifeguarding and CPR-PR as recognized by the American Red Cross (or equivalent).
• Water Safety Instructor Certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
• Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends.
• Must demonstrate lifesaving and first aid skills as required by the position.
• Ability to pass American Red Cross Swim Proficiency Test (including endurance swims and brick retrieval).

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety rules in a polite but consistent manner.
• Perform lifesaving and first aid procedures as appropriate.
• Provide routine cleanup, sanitizing, and maintenance in pool and locker rooms.
• Provide office support including cash handling, making change, and operating a credit card machine.
• Operate a register with a point of sale, check in patrons, sell passes, create accounts and maintain a tally of users.
• Present aquatic instructional programs to diverse community members using prepared lesson plans.
