Job Description:

The Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee will maintain pools at clients' facilities for the company.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist Pool Maintenance Specialist in cleaning and maintaining pools by skimming, vacuuming, and chemical treatments.
• Perform deep cleaning of pools, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.
• Test pool water for pH, chlorine levels, bacteria, algae, and contaminants.
• Receive training to ensure correct chemical balance and water clarity.
• Calculate and add chemicals to maintain pH, eliminate contaminants, and address other issues.
• Inspect pools and equipment.
• Maintain daily logs of chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of pool chemicals and equipment.
• Mechanical skills related to aquatic facilities and equipment.
• Math skills for calculating chemical ratios.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience.
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Good eyesight and hearing to interpret water analysis and equipment readings.
• Ability to perform cleaning, checking, and monitoring tasks.
