Job summary

The Town of Davie is seeking a capable supervisor for the public swimming pool who will oversee safety and deliver swimming lessons. Under general supervision, you will supervise and instruct, ensuring the safety of patrons and managing instructional programs.

Requirements include at least 16 years old, current ARC Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certifications, and the ability to provide copies of these certifications with your application.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Copies of current certifications must be provided with your application by close of posting.
• Preferred: American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification.
• Must obtain ARC Water Safety Instructor Certification within six months of employment.
• Vision: must see 20/30 uncorrected or with soft contacts; glasses not allowed.

Job description

Under general supervision, performs supervisory and instructional work at Town's public swimming pool. Is responsible for safety of pool patrons and swimming lessons. Reports to Facility Manager, Head Pool Lifeguard or designee.

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• Possession of current license/certification from the American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• Copies of current certificationsMUST be provided with your application by close of posting.

Preferred

• Valid American Red Cross, Water Safety Instructors Certificate.

• Must be able to possess American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification within six (6) months of employment

Vision Requirement:

• Must see 20/30 either uncorrected or with soft contacts.
• Applicants cannot wear glasses for vision correction.
