Job summary

City College of San Francisco is seeking a 3208 Pool Lifeguard to ensure the health and safety of students and pool users at a district-operated swimming pool. The role requires enforcing rules, performing rescues, and providing CPR/First Aid as needed.

Part-time as needed, with on-call, early shifts and weekends; office presence is required. Training and certifications must be current throughout employment.

Qualifications

• Lifeguarding issued by the American Red Cross or equivalent.
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer issued by the American Red Cross or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health and safety of students and pool users.
• Enforce pool rules and respond to emergencies with CPR/First Aid when needed.
• Clean and disinfect the pool, decks, and equipment; monitor showers and locker rooms.
• Prepare the pool for PE classes and programs; assist with facility operations.
• Record incidents and assist with on-call shifts as required.
