Job summary

The Boca Raton is seeking an experienced lifeguard for our outdoor pool/beach operation. The ideal candidate will have a background as a lifeguard, be CPR certified, and capable of high physical activity in an outdoor setting.

You will maintain constant surveillance, provide emergency care until EMS arrival, and supervise equipment such as water slides while upholding professional appearance and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or current.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies.
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
• Strong outdoor physical activity capability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; act immediately to secure safety during emergencies.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrival.
• Present professional appearance and attitude and maintain high standard of customer service.
• Supervise use of equipment (e.g., water slides) as assigned.

Job description

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a lifeguard in a beach or pool operation. This individual must be able to achieve or currently hold a CPR certification. This role requires a strong degree of physical activity in an outdoor setting. Candidates must be self-motivated and have the ability to maintain focus and composure under pressure.

Essential Functions

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

• Maintains constantsurveillanceofpatronsinthefacility;actsimmediatelyandappropriatelytosecuresafetyofpatronsintheeventofemergency.
• Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Presentsprofessionalappearanceandattitudeatalltimes,andmaintainsahighstandardofcustomerservice.
• Supervise the use of other equipment when allocated to that duty (such as water slides).

Qualifications

• Abilitytoreactcalmlyandeffectivelyinemergencysituations.

Physical Requirements

Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
