Job summary

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Lifeguard to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all pool visitors during early morning and daytime hours.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and providing emergency assistance when necessary.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on guest safety and excellent guest services. Prior lifeguard experience is preferred. Swimming proficiency and lifeguard certification are required.

Duties

• Constantly monitor pool area to ensure the safety of all swimmers and guests
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as needed
• Conduct regular pool maintenance including cleaning, chemical checks, and equipment inspections
• Assist with pool cleaning tasks such as skimming debris, vacuuming, and maintaining water clarity
• Provide excellent guest services by answering questions, assisting guests with pool facilities, and ensuring a positive experience
• Perform heavy lifting when necessary for pool equipment or supplies
• Maintain a clean and safe pool environment at all times

Qualifications

• Previous lifeguard experience preferred; certification in Lifeguard Training, CPR, and First Aid required or willing to obtain upon hire
• Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues effectively
• Knowledge of pool maintenance and cleaning procedures is a plus
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Excellent guest service skills with a friendly attitude
• Ability to remain alert for extended periods and respond quickly in emergency situations
• Physical fitness to perform rescue operations and perform heavy lifting tasks
