Job summary

Walworth County in Wisconsin is seeking an In-House Pool Food Service Worker to perform essential support tasks in the main health care center kitchen, including food delivery and serving to residents. This casual role requires availability for a minimum of four shifts per month, with two on weekends.

Responsibilities include food prep, sanitation, portioning, and resident service, with training provided for new staff and adherence to food safety standards and departmental policies.

Qualifications

• Some High School; zero to six months of relevant prior experience. Basic knowledge of food safety required.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing services and meeting quality standards.
• Ability to learn, follow and explain departmental policies and procedures.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and/or divide quickly and correctly.
• Ability to make change and handle cash transactions.
• Ability to listen to and understand information presented verbally.
• Ability to communicate information clearly; speak so others understand.
• Ability to follow, learn and remember job duties and repeat them with limited errors.
• Ability to multi-task and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential support in the main health care center kitchen.
• Deliver and serve food to residents.
• Train and mentor new kitchen staff in duties of a relief cook.
• Follow food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Prepare garnishes, salads, sandwiches and beverages.
• Monitor portions and presentation for residents.
• Monitor temperatures of coolers, freezers, and refrigerators.
• Inventory and stock resident kitchen areas; wash and sanitize equipment.
