Linn-Benton Community College is seeking a part-time catering support worker to assist with events in the Culinary Arts Catering program. You will help with food preparation, service setup, and event tear-down while upholding health and safety standards.
Typical duties include buffet setup, food and beverage preparation, equipment cleaning, and coordinating with kitchen staff and clients. Weekend and evening hours may be required; prior food service experience is preferred.

Performs basic catering service duties for Culinary Arts Catering, including preparation of food items, serving and set-up and/or take down of events. Assists Catering Division employees with other tasks as needed.
Physical Skills and Abilities: Position involves long periods standing plus light to medium work, which includes, kneeling, and carrying and lifting of light to medium weight materials (10 to 50 pounds). Must be able to operate a computer and general office equipment. Requires ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
Working Conditions: Work is normally performed in a kitchen setting with some safety hazards. Some weekend and evening hours may be required. Occasional travel to offsite may be required. Lifting, pushing, pulling and bending light to medium weight materials is often required for setting up and breaking down events.

All Part-time Classified employees begin at Step 1 of the salary schedule, corresponding to the position’s grade. Placement at a higher step on the salary schedule is not negotiable. Step increases are subject to eligibility, and only take place at the end of the Fiscal Year in July if approved and submitted by the employee’s supervisor of record. Hours worked in more than one position or department cannot be combined for step advancement. Part-time Classified employees are paid once monthly, on the last day of the month.
