Job summary

Zota Beach Resort in Florida is seeking a Pool Bartender to deliver exceptional beverage service to resort guests in a fast-paced outdoor pool setting, maintaining a luxurious guest experience.

You will craft cocktails, manage bar inventory, handle cash, upsell menu items, and keep the bar area clean and compliant with safety regulations while engaging guests with a warm, professional demeanor. Previous hospitality or mixology experience preferred; high school diploma a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or related industry; knowledge of cocktails and garnishes.
• Ability to provide excellent guest service in a busy outdoor pool environment.
• Familiarity with responsible alcohol service and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails and other drinks according to established recipes and standards.

Job description

We are looking to add a Pool Bartenders to our team.

The Pool Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to resort guests in a fast-paced, outdoor pool environment while delivering a friendly, engaging, and luxury guest experience. This position prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards, maintains a clean and organized bar area, and ensures compliance with all food safety and responsible alcohol service regulations.

The Pool Bartender creates memorable guest interactions by anticipating needs, recommending specialty cocktails and menu items, and providing attentive service that reflects the resort's commitment to hospitality excellence. This role requires strong knowledge of mixology, the ability to multitask efficiently, and a positive, professional demeanor while working in a dynamic beachfront setting.

Essential Functions:

• Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
• Follow proper cash handling procedures
• Complete orders for beverages and supplies
• Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive display
• Maintain a clean and neat work area
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
• Wash bar glasses/dishes
• Checks ID for all guests and complies with state and federal laws
• Demonstrates effective sales techniques to upsell food and beverage products
• Responds to questions and special requests
• Provides information and directions
• Other reasonable duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required
• Hospitality or related industry experience

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for 8-10 hour shifts
• Pulling, pushing, carrying boxes up to 25lbs
• Working in out door environment where it could reach 90 degrees outside
