Job summary

Opal Collection in Clearwater Beach, FL is seeking a friendly Pool Attendant to greet guests, anticipate needs, and maintain a safe, clean pool area. You may assist with towels, pool setup, and general pool deck maintenance throughout shifts.

Strong guest service skills and flexibility to work weekends/holidays are preferred. This opportunity emphasizes teamwork, safety, and delivering a positive guest experience at a premier resort.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests arriving at the pool in a professional, friendly, engaging manner.
• Anticipates guests’ needs and responds promptly.
• Maintains positive guest relations at all times.
• Keeps knowledge of daily house count, VIPs, arrivals/departures, and hours for F&B outlets.
• Obtains and transports towels; sets up pool deck and furniture.
• Maintains pool area cleanliness and reports issues to proper departments.
• Follows pool safety standards and weather procedures.
• Supports closing duties and returns soiled towels to Laundry.

Responsibilities:

• Greets all guests arriving at the pool in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner.
• Anticipate guests’ needs, responds promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
• Maintains positive guest relations at all times.
• Maintain complete knowledge of daily house count, VIPs in-house, arrivals/departures, all hotel facilities and services, and hours of operation for each F&B outlet.
• Obtain clean towels from Laundry and transport them to the pool deck; fold and stack towels.
• Open, set up, and organize pool deck.
• Set-up pool furniture, towels, and umbrellas.
• Remove trash and debris from all work areas and pool facilities.
• Sweep, wash down, mop, and clean the pool deck; use the squeegee to dry the decks.
• Check pool restrooms and throughout the shift for supply levels, cleanliness, and working order. Notify the proper departments of any needs.
• Adheres to all pool safety standards, including safety procedures for adverse weather conditions.
• Collects dirty towels left on chairs and pool deck.
• Utilize first aid and lifesaving procedures when situations demand.
• Complete closing duties. Return soiled towels to the Laundry.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous Experience is a Plus
• Able to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent guest service skills and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lift to 20 lbs. and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
