Join to apply for the Pool Attendant role at YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta.

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Provides excellent customer service at outdoor aquatic locations. Assists members and guests with amenities. This is not a lifeguard position.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification required within 60 days of employment (YMCA provided).
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
• Six months or more of related customer service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively seeks ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize problems and communicate with management.
• Complete New Hire Orientation and related trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicate instructions professionally to members and guests.
• Greet and thank patrons and guests.
• Enforce policies and rules to prevent accidents and ensure enjoyment.
• Perform first aid and complete incident reports as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the aquatic facility.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Report concerns, repairs, or incidents to supervisor.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Remain alert in warm environments (80+ degrees).
• Sit or stand for extended periods.
• Hear noises and distress signals.
• Over 90% of shift outdoors.
• Normal to loud noise levels.
• Verbal communication skills required.
