Description

Summary: The Pool Attendant plays a key role in safety by monitoring the check-in/check-out areas in the amenity space and wiping down amenity areas at the beginning and end of shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor the check-in/check-out areas of the pool and amenity spaces.
• Ensure pool area cleanliness by wiping down amenity areas regularly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Competencies:

• Customer Service – Responds to requests for service and assistance timely.
• Safety and Security – Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work shift work, on an as-needed basis.
• Availability during the pool opening months (Memorial Day – Labor Day).
• Excellent customer skills.

Education and/or Experience: Customer service or prior Pool Attendant experience.

Language Skills:

• Understanding and following complex instructions and professional correspondence.
• Effective communication in one-on-one interactions with colleagues and team members.

Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, divide.

Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed or uninvolved instructions; manage conflict and communicate clearly and concisely.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: No certification requirement.

Physical Demands: Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear; occasionally sit; lift/move up to 10 pounds; work in hot outdoor environments.

Work Environment: Moderate to noisy indoor and outdoor environment; reasonable accommodations available.
