Position Type: Per Diem
Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly
Job Shift: Fridays 4-8pm, Sat & Sun 12-8pm
Description

Summary:

The Pool Attendant plays a key role in safety by monitoring the check-in/check-out areas in the amenity space, wiping down amenity areas at the beginning and end of shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
• Monitor the check-in/check-out areas of the pool and amenity spaces.
• Ensure pool area cleanliness by wiping down amenity areas regularly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Competencies:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
• Customer Service – Responds to requests for service and assistance timely.
• Safety and Security – Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Ability to work shift work, on an as-needed basis.
• Availability during the pool opening months (Memorial Day – Labor Day).
• Excellent customer skills.

Education and/or Experience:
Customer service or prior Pool Attendant experience.

Language Skills:
• Skillful in understanding and following complex instructions, as well as professional correspondence and memos.
• Proficient in crafting professional-level correspondence.
• Able to communicate information effectively in one-on-one interactions with colleagues and other team members in a friendly and inclusive manner.

Mathematical Skills:
Basic math skills - ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to manage conflict and communicate effectively in a clear and concise

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
No certification requirement.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Employees must be able to work in hot environments, outdoors.
