Job summary

POM Wonderful is seeking a Production Operator to support daily operations on the production floor in California. You will guide staff, verify schedules, and ensure safety, GMP compliance, and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include operating packaging equipment, monitoring KPIs, and maintaining traceability through labeling and documentation. Join a safety‑driven team focused on consistent throughput and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
• Familiarity with GMPs, food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot production equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; stay organized and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide production employees to ensure safe practices and compliance.
• Execute daily production plans by verifying schedules, materials, staffing, and rates.
• Monitor KPIs like production rates, yield, downtime and quality; assist corrective actions.
• Operate production equipment (ORICS, Jurans, box machines, checkweighers, labeling systems).
• Set up and verify coding/ labeling systems (Videojet, PTI, LPN) for accuracy and traceability.
• Perform pre- and post-operational inspections and routine quality checks.
• Calibrate and monitor checkweighers and related metrics to minimize losses.
• Maintain sanitation, GMP, and SSOP standards; support a clean environment.
• Coordinate breaks to maintain continuous operations; report non-conformances.
• Ensure traceability through proper labeling, lot tracking, and documentation.
