Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a full-time Polysomnographic Technician at our Sleep Center in Albuquerque, NM. The role includes scoring sleep studies, assisting with policy development and procedures, and communicating with Sleep Center physicians about patient testing.

You will train trainees, participate in quality monitoring, manage supplies, and support patient PAP classes while supporting workload and shift reporting. BLS and NM licensure are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Accredited educational program by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
• BRPT certification and RPSGT credential required; NM license.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Polysomnographic Technician duties.
• Score sleep studies.
• Assist in development/revision of Sleep Center policies and procedures.
• Communicate with Sleep Center physicians regarding patients/testing procedures.
• Train Polysomnographic Trainees and Technicians, including oversight of testing.
• Assist with Quality Monitoring.
• Order supplies.
• Teach patient PAP classes as needed.
• Handle workload assignment and end-of-shift reports.
• Assist with patient compliance program and follow-up calls.
• Attend in-services and meetings.

• Assists with patient compliance program, as needed, including making patient follow-up contacts.
• Attends in services and meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of Accredited educational program accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine

License/Certifications:

• Passed the national certifying examination given by the board of registered polysomnographic technologists (BRPT), RPSGT credential as defined by the New Mexico Practice Act and NM Polysomnography license.
• BLS required.
