Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a skilled Sleep Technologist to perform polysomnography procedures, stage sleep, and analyze data for diagnostic accuracy. You will prepare patients, document findings, and assist physicians in interpretation of tests.

The role requires knowledge of AASM guidelines, reliability QA duties, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while maintaining a clean, compliant work environment. A strong team player with attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• At least one year of experience in neurophysiology or sleep disorders medicine (preferred).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required before patient care).
• Polysomnography State Licensure if applicable (preferred; required in some states, e.g., SC).
• RPSGT Certification required upon hire in South Carolina; RST Certification preferred as well.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) with SDS credential (required for RTs; preferred in SC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the patient and explains the procedure; reviews clinical data; operates polysomnographic equipment and tests according to protocols.
• Documents detailed technical reports and reviews studies with physicians.
• Administers neurodiagnostic procedures and maintains equipment; coordinates with department policies.
• Assists with patient scheduling, payments, and general office tasks.
• Maintains continuing education and stays current in neurodiagnostic field.
• Performs sleep staging and event scoring per AASM guidelines; assists QA as needed.
• Troubleshoots polysomnographic and office equipment.
