Job description

We Are Hiring

• Department: Sleep Diagnostic Lab
• Schedule: Part-time 0.6 FTE nights | two 12-hour shifts per week 7PM - 7AM | no holidays
• Hospital: Ascension St. Elizabeth
• Location: Appleton, WI

What You Will Do

Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.

• Prepare patient and equipment for testing. Interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
• Perform and document testing. Monitor patients throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score, interpret, and report results of sleep studies.
• Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing. Determine and report needed repairs or replacements.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Certified Polysomnographic Technologist credential from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist credential from the BRPT obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Sleep Technologist from the American Board of Sleep Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR an Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
