Our expanding Sleep Lab in northern Minnesota offers RPSGTs the opportunity to work in a patient-focused, collaborative environment providing comprehensive in-lab and home sleep testing services. The department emphasizes high-quality scoring and adherence to AASM standards, modern diagnostic equipment, and strong clinical support from board-certified sleep physicians. RPSGTs play a key role in a growing program that values professional development, teamwork, and expanding access to specialty sleep care for our community.

Polysomnographic Technologists are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing care to our patients.

We’re seeking a compassionate, patient, and problem-solving Polysomnographic Technologist to join our talent team in this highly impactful role. What you will do: Performing either Sleep Study Procedures or Neurological Testing for all patient populations.

Understanding the testing equipment, including it’s structure, function, indications for use, physiological effect upon the patient and basic maintenance/troubleshooting procedures.

Monitor and document appropriately in medical record per facility guidelines.

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards and accreditation.

Possess a knowledge and understanding of the disease and pathological conditions encountered.

Educating patients with prescribed therapies and sleep testing and following up as needed.

Acquire the ability to work with all age groups and those with growth and developmental needs of unique client populations.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited program in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology, Respiratory Technology or other medical specialty preferred.

Minimum of two years of related work experience in Sleep Disorders field preferred.

Possess knowledge of sleep disorders, electrical safety, with the skill to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for patient care.

If RRT, required to obtain RPSGT or Sleep Disorder Specialty (RRT-SDS) credential within 2 years of starting in role or must be enrolled in one of the following:

  1. Must be enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules. Non-registered technologists and technicians must complete A-STEP Online Self Study Modules within two years of enrollment. OR

  2. Must be enrolled in or have completed training in polysomnography in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option.

Working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed as a RRT or RPSGT.

Obtain and maintain mandatory continuing education units (CEU) each year to maintain licensure and/or registry.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 60 days of employment.
