Job summary

North Memorial Health is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist II for Maple Grove Sleep Center. The role entails setting up and performing polysomnographic studies for physician interpretation, plus mentoring a Trainee and providing data analysis as needed.

The position requires an AA/AAS in a health sciences program (preferably polysomnographic technology), and current or pending registration as a PSG technologist. Night shifts, on-site work, and shift differentials apply.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • AA/AAS degree in accredited health science program (preferably Polysomnographic Technology) or commensurate experience.
  • Must be a Registered or in-process Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and performs polysomnographic testing and scores studies for physician interpretation.
  • Acts as training mentor to Polysomnographic Technologist I (Trainee).
  • May analyze data and provide education for customers and family members.

About this position

Requirements
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Requires AA/AAS degree in accredited health science program (preferably Polysomnographic Technology) or commensurate experience.
  • Must be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or a Certified Polysomnographic Technologist in the process of becoming registered.
Experience
  • Analogous healthcare experience i.e. respiratory therapist or EEG technologist.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Good communication skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
  • Able to provide coverage as need at all Sleep Health Centers.
  • Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter.

Benefit Eligibility: Health insurance benefits are available for this position. North Memorial Health offers multiple health plans based on work group eligibility.

Salary Range:B17 ($27.77 - $41.66), based on experience

Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
