Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED with on-the-job training in Polysomnography for at least one year, in a state-licensed or nationally accredited facility.
• Licensure/Registration: BRPT Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (or registry eligible) and Basic Life Support certification.
• Knowledge/Abilities: Ability to apply knowledge of sleep physiology and patient safety in a clinical lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform overnight polysomnography under medical supervision and independently operate equipment.
• Apply recording devices, clean and sterilize equipment, and monitor sleep/wake physiology.
• Record review and scoring of polysomnograms, summarizing sleep stages and events.
• Provide patient education and ensure safety during testing.
• Generate concise reports detailing sleep/wake data and relevant events.
