Job summary

Regions Hospital in Minnesota is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to join our Sleep Center. This role involves operating overnight polysomnograms, recording sleep/wake physiology, and ensuring patient safety under medical supervision.

Responsibilities include scoring polysomnograms, interpreting data, and generating concise reports. A HS diploma with OTJ polsognography training and RPSGT certification (or eligible) plus BCLS are required, with opportunity to work Sunday–Tuesday nights.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with OTJ training in Polysomnography of no less than one year duration, associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited facility. and successful passing of the RPSGT exam.
• Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. ( or registry eligible)
• Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

Responsibilities

• Operate and evaluate overnight polysomnograms under medical supervision.
• Record sleep/wake physiology using specialized equipment.
• Monitor and ensure patient safety; apply recording devices and clean equipment.
• Score and report sleep/wake stages and events.
• Record review/scoring is an integral part of the job.
