Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist for the night shift at our Ypsilanti, MI sleep center. The role performs nocturnal polysomnograms, initiates CPAP therapy, conducts sleep studies, and ensures accurate scoring for physician interpretation.

Requires BRPT or ABSM certification, high school diploma or GED, and 12–18 months of related experience preferred. Candidates must complete board exams within 18 months if not currently certified.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 12–18 months of related experience preferred.
• Certification/Licensure: BRPT or ABSM certification.
• Colleagues not registered must pass board exam within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Gathers materials and sets up equipment for tests.
• Instructs patient on PAP therapy and test procedures.
• Monitors patient during testing and troubleshoots equipment as needed.
• Scores polygraphic records and summarizes findings for physician review.
• Maintains and calibrates equipment; handles repairs and stock levels.
• Maintains current BLS/CPR and sleep certifications.
