Job summary

The Polysomnographic Technologist/RCP at Dayton Children's Hospital — Sleep Lab conducts sleep studies, scoring according to AASM standards, and provides QA feedback. Works with Team Leader, Assistant Manager, Manager and Medical Director to ensure high quality diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including polysomnography, extended EEG, MSLT/ MWT, oxygen titration, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management, airway

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Allied Health Sciences Respiratory Care.
• Participate in ASTEP if SDS or RPSGT not held at hire.
• 0-3 years of healthcare experience.
• RCP, RRT, BLS credentials required.
• Obtain SDS or RPSGT within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform polysomnography and sleep stage scoring according to AASM standards.
• Provide QA feedback and collaborate with sleep lab leadership.
• Assist in supervision and mentoring of sleep technicians.
• Oversee supply inventory and ensure patient safety and comfort.
