Job Title: Polysomnograph Technologist at UVA Health

Join us to apply for the Polysomnograph Technologist role at UVA Health.

Position Details:

• Supervised by physicians, responsible for patient care duties and customer service at the sleep disorders center.
• Prepares patients for diagnostic testing and educates them on sleep lab procedures.
• Accurately scores and analyzes sleep studies and evaluates equipment for optimal results.
• Performs therapeutic treatments independently and maintains responsibility for the work area.
• Participates in professional activities and continuing education.

Compensation Range: $24.24 - $38.78 per hour.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or 6 months relevant experience.
• Experience: Practice experience for Virginia licensure as a Polysomnographic Technologist.
• Licensure: Must be licensed in Virginia or hold a credential from NBRC or an equivalent organization.
• Certification: BLS certification required; Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or NBRC-SDS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Physical Demands: Sitting for prolonged periods, frequent travel, repetitive motion, and patient handling. Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and infectious diseases.
