You will manage reaction engineering, mass and energy balances, equipment specs, PFDs/P&IDs, and collaboration with Controls to tune PLC/DCS logic. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Polymer/Materials Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of chemical manufacturing experience in resins, coatings, polymers, or plastics preferred.
• Strong grasp of polymer rheology, fluid dynamics, heat transfer; data logging and troubleshooting experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Process Optimization & Monitoring: optimize polymerization cycles, control temperature/viscosity, regulate pressure, manage material addition rates.
• Equipment & Infrastructure Optimization: specify and size reactors, heat exchangers, distillation columns, filtration; update P&IDs and PFDs; collaborate to tune PLC/DCS logic.
• Quality & Safety: lead or participate in HAZOP/LOPA; ensure resin properties meet specs; analyze QC data; conduct root cause analyses.
