Job summary

Shell is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine and non-routine testing of polyethylene products at our United States manufacturing facility. You will document results, operate and maintain lab equipment, and ensure compliance with QA/QC standards while supporting continuous improvement across production and quality teams.

The role requires an Associate degree in a scientific discipline, laboratory experience in manufacturing, and knowledge of GLP and ISO 9001.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a scientific discipline.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial lab.
• Knowledge of QA/QC, ISO 9001, and GLP.
• Experience using LIMS and maintaining data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine testing of polyethylene products to verify compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
• Document and report laboratory results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Follow approved analytical methods, laboratory procedures, and safety requirements.
• Monitor product quality data and identify trends or deviations requiring investigation.
• Provide analytical support to help resolve product quality and production issues.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe laboratory environment.
• Prepare and standardise laboratory reagents and reference materials.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and technical teams to support operational objectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance laboratory efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
• Complete testing activities within required production and shipping timelines.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate documentation and demonstrating compliance with quality management systems.
• Comply with ISO 9001 requirements and site quality standards.
