Job summary

Alpek Polyester USA, LLC seeks a Quality Lab Analyst to join the Columbia Quality Assurance team based in Gaston, SC. You will perform routine analytical quality testing on Monomers/Resins/rPET, uphold lab safety, and ensure accurate, timely results.

The ideal candidate will have strong math skills, good interpersonal communication, and the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts. Laboratory or manufacturing experience is preferred, and you will serve on the plant Emergency Response Team (ERT).

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal communication and safety practices.
• Solid math skills.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must serve on plant Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Knowledge of analytical instruments and techniques: AA, GC, LC, FTIR, titration, XRF and gravimetric analysis.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to all applicable laboratory safety and documentation guidelines.
• Performing routine analytical quality testing in QC/QA lab for the site's product materials (Monomers/Resins/rPET).
• Ensuring proper operation of lab equipment through routine standard checks and maintenance.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly laboratory working environment.
• Effectively communicating with staff and ensuring lab results are delivered clearly and timely.
• Serving on the plant Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• All other duties as assigned.
