Job summary

Core4ce is seeking a research scientist in Ohio to design, synthesize, and optimize advanced polymer formulations for defense and optical applications. The role emphasizes structure–property–processing relationships, cure kinetics, and high‑throughput workflows in a team with chemists, nanomaterial specialists, and engineers.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.S. or equivalent in Chemistry, Polymer Science & Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years post-degree hands-on polymer synthesis and characterization preferred.
• Ability to work in a chemical laboratory following EHS protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute research on advanced polymer formulations for defense and optics.
• Synthesize, compound, and optimize polymeric materials and related additives.
• Perform DSC, TGA, DMA, NMR, and spectroscopic analyses for property mapping.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior researchers.
• Prepare publications and present findings at conferences.
