Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field with laboratory research experience.
• Experience conducting laboratory experiments, preparing samples, collecting data, and documenting results.
• Experience with laboratory safety practices and proper use of equipment.
• Ability to follow established procedures, interpret instructions, and identify routine issues.
• Strong attention to detail and well-organized lab records.
• Effective written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments involving polymer chemistry, polymer synthesis, and hybrid material preparation.
• Assist with development, preparation, and evaluation of polymer-based materials and composites.
• Perform routine lab procedures related to material synthesis, processing, purification, and testing.
• Characterize materials to evaluate composition, properties, morphology, and thermal behavior.
• Analyze experimental data to identify trends and support research objectives.
• Triage routine issues and communicate findings to senior staff.
• Maintain lab notebooks and reports in accordance with procedures.
• Prepare samples and presentations to communicate progress to project teams.
