Job summary

Trinseo LLC is seeking an Application Development Engineer based at the Global Innovation Center in Exton, PA. The role focuses on development activities for PC/PC‑ABS/ABS compounds and PMMA resins in the B&C and E&E markets, delivering testing, data analysis, and technical support to customers and internal teams.

The position emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration, stage‑gate portfolio leadership, and advancing new product concepts from ideation to commercialization, while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus.
• 5–10+ years industrial experience in new product/application development.
• Experience in polymer processing, especially injection molding and extrusion.
• Experience with acrylic/PMMA and/or PC/ABS/ABS materials; related markets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new testing and equipment capabilities to support product development for E&E and B&C markets.
• Conduct trials, determine process parameters, perform characterization, analyze data, and prepare reports.
• Interpret data, draw conclusions, and guide experimental planning.
• Coordinate with analytical sciences to complete testing and summarize results.
• Lead portfolio governance and stage-gate reviews; track milestones and risks.
• Provide technical support to customers in trials and with product literature and training.
