Job summary

Trinseo is seeking a Polymer Processing Technologist – Extrusion & Injection Molding in Exton, PA, to support growth through polymer processing, formulation development, and technical service. You will conduct extrusion, injection molding, and testing on multiple projects while coordinating with scientists and engineers in the group.

The role requires hands-on expertise in polymer processing, material characterization (DSC/TGA/TMA/FTIR/GPC), and data documentation in ELN, with a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 5+ years in polymer R&D labs or BS/BA with 2+ years polymer processing experience
• Demonstrated expertise on injection molding, extrusion and other polymer processing equipment
• Experience with DSC, TGA, TMA, FTIR, GPC preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in sample preparation and mechanical testing

Responsibilities

• Formulation: Prepare polymer formulations for processing via compounding, latex blending, etc.
• Processing: Extrude, injection mold, compression mold, etc. polymer formulations.
• Testing: Prepare test specimens and perform mechanical tests; record results.
• Data: Document observations and results in the electronic lab notebook; analyze data.
• Equipment: Schedule and perform preventive maintenance; train other operators.
