Job summary

Brown & Brown in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Policy Services Specialist to join our underwriting support team. You will issue underwriting authority policies and endorsements, maintain system documentation, and ensure timely processing of all policies and endorsements according to authority agreements.

You will interact with Finance and Compliance, review files, rate endorsements, and support underwriting through training sessions.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in insurance-related customer service.
• General knowledge of ISO policy forms including manuscript coverage forms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word and ability to adapt quickly to proprietary internal software programs.
• Strong attention to detail; accuracy is critical.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Keen problem-solving skills.
• Solid oral and communication skills.
• Ability to work individually under minimal supervision, but with a sense of team-spirit.

Responsibilities

• Issuance of underwriting authority policies and endorsements.

• Process and service premium bearing and non-premium bearing endorsements, including rating and invoicing.
• Participate in underwriting training sessions to understand the underwriting process.

Understanding policy structure and forms. Various account servicing tasks on a day-to-day basis.How You Will Contribute:Issuance of underwriting authority policies and endorsements. Maintain system and documentation to support the issue process. All policies and endorsements must be issued as bound and within the timeframe defined within American Specialty’s underwriting authority agreement.
