Job summary

UCLA Luskin is seeking a Research and Policy Project Analyst to independently coordinate and manage MDH initiatives under the Faculty Director. You will develop project plans, timelines, deliverables, and liaise with faculty, community partners, researchers, and stakeholders to advance project objectives.

The role requires strong writing and communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and related software.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Interpersonal skills to develop cordial and cooperative working relationships with University administrators and staff.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with faculty, university administrators, staff, students, and off-campus professionals.
• Writing skills to present ideas in a logical and concise manner.
• Ability to think clearly and logically with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• Oral communications skills to serve as a liaison to convey a variety of information concisely and accurately with diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite, and other software programs.
• Experience with campaign-driven community organizing.
• A working knowledge of LA County government structure and the history of movements in Black LA communities.
• Demonstrated ability in working independently and following tasks through to completion.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including developing project plans, establishing timelines and deliverables, coordinating multiple stakeholders, monitoring progress, identifying risks or barriers, and resolving project-related issues.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate programs, policies, or projects and develop sound conclusions and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage research and policy initiatives for Million Dollar Hoods.
• Develop and monitor project plans, timelines and deliverables.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders and prepare reports.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned initiatives and speak on behalf of the projects.
