Job summary

United Launch Alliance in Arlington, VA is offering a Summer 2027 Government & Political Science Internship to gain hands-on experience in government outreach within the Government Operation & Strategic Communications organization.

You will support experienced professionals, shadow operations, and contribute to assignments that feed into larger aerospace projects, while developing practical policy, communication, and analytical skills relevant to public sector programs.

Qualifications

• Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in political science, public policy, or relevant field with emphasis in Government and/or Law.
• Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
• Must plan to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2027.
• Previous experience with Congress, state or local government is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to complete an internship at any of the United Launch Alliance locations: Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Navigate challenges in Government outreach and work in the Government Operation & Strategic Communications organization.
• Interns will support one or more experienced business professionals in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day‑to‑day workings of the business side of the aerospace industry.
