Builders is seeking a Premium Accounting Collections Representative in Atlanta, GA. The role involves researching delinquent accounts, preparing for calls, and guiding debt recovery for policyholders and agents.

You will review aging detail daily, set up payment plans, coordinate with collection agencies, and prepare monthly cash recovery reports. A background in accounting/finance, strong communication, and knowledge of FDCPA guidelines are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Strong verbal and written communication with professional customer service and phone etiquette
• Knowledge of client billing systems and aged receivables recovery processes
• Negotiation skills with professionalism and diplomacy in challenging situations
• Proficient in time and organizational management with attention to detail and multitasking
• Knowledge of FDCPA guidelines and B2B collections
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, esp. Excel, plus ability to learn new applications

Responsabilités

• Research and address customer inquiries from policyholders and agents; investigate delinquent accounts
• Review aging detail daily; follow up on delinquent accounts and note policy status
• Process cancellations, reinstatements, non-renewals, affinity memberships, and agency-based cancellations
• Establish and monitor pay plan schedules and promissory notes for timely payments
• Oversee external collection efforts; coordinate correspondence with agencies/attorneys
• Monitor bankruptcy accounts and coordinate collection agency activities
• Track and analyze collection effectiveness for strategic decisions
• Prepare and maintain collection spreadsheets and monthly reports
• Provide monthly analysis of cash recoveries by region
• Draft professional dunning, settlement, and account summary letters
• Contribute to process improvements for cost containment and efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned
