Share Our Strength seeks a Manager, Program Communications to translate complex policy and research into clear, audience‑centered materials for national and state campaigns. You will develop testimony, briefing materials, talking points, and digital content, guiding messaging that informs policymakers, advocates, and practitioners.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer with experience turning policy into accessible communications and with data visualization skills.

Qualifications

• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills for translating complex policy and research into clear communications.
• Experience turning technical policy and legislative content into audience-centered materials.
• Ability to visualize and present data, research, and policy information effectively.
• Experience developing content for policymakers, advocates, partners, and the media.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce written and visual assets including testimony, talking points, one-pagers, fact sheets, toolkits, presentations, briefing materials, reports, and digital content.
• Translate complex legislative language, policy proposals, research findings, and programmatic data into clear, compelling communications for diverse audiences.
• Draft and edit content for policymakers, partners, advocates, and the media.
• Identify compelling stories, visuals, data points, and messaging approaches to highlight program impact.
• Ensure materials are accurate, on-brand, and aligned with organizational messaging frameworks.
• Coordinate with Communications colleagues across teams to support integrated campaigns.
• Maintain and organize communications resources and content libraries for internal stakeholders.
• Support Share Our Strength's commitment to diversity and inclusion in all communications.
