Job summary

CGC is seeking a Communications & Policy Associate to help manage internal and external communications and strategic policy initiatives. The role coordinates priorities across teams, translates policy and market issues into clear materials, and supports engagement with policymakers, partners, and audiences.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer, highly organized, and capable of working under tight deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and strong judgment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, communications, journalism, economics, environmental studies, business, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience in communications, public policy, government affairs, public affairs, research, project management, or related field.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely, and accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into clear and accessible materials for different audiences.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion, particularly when working with confidential or not-yet-public information.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit external communications, including website content, newsletters, announcements, press materials, talking points, presentations, and other public-facing materials.
• Translate complex policy, project finance, investment, and market-development topics into clear and compelling content for a diverse audience.
• Support communications highlighting CGC investments, partnerships, organizational milestones, market insights, events, and impact.
• Monitor the media landscape across print, digital, and social media; provide timely updates as relevant developments occur and prepare a weekly overview of key coverage.
• Support coordination with external communications, government affairs, design, and other consultants and vendors.
• Plan and contribute to external engagements, conferences, announcements, partnerships, and stakeholder interactions.
