Job summary

The What To Expect Project seeks a Policy and Communications Associate to join our team in advancing domestic and international policy priorities. The role emphasizes research, writing, editing, and managing social media, with independent work and collaboration as needed.

The incumbent will draft letters, develop briefing memos, track developments, and support events and outreach efforts to policymakers and stakeholders. Strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, or related field preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with WordPress is a plus.
• Self-starter, detail-oriented, and team player.

Responsibilities

• Draft and distribute letters and policy materials for domestic and international priorities.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and manage external communications.
• Represent WTEP at policy and advocacy coalition meetings.
• Manage WTEP’s website and daily social media activity.
• Develop briefing memos and policy reports for audiences.
