Save the Children US is seeking a Lead Associate for Media Relations to advance policy and advocacy priorities through strategic communications and media engagement. You will craft materials, coordinate spokespeople, and monitor coverage across local, state, and national outlets.

Hybrid role with locations in Washington DC, Fairfield CT, or Lexington KY, offering collaboration with policy, advocacy, and technical experts to translate complex issues into clear messages for broad audiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to engage across the political spectrum and support bipartisan policy making.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with media monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic communications and media outreach plans.
• Draft press releases, talking points, advisories, and spokesperson materials.
• Coordinate with policy experts to translate complex information into clear messages.
• Monitor policy developments and media trends and share opportunities with the team.
• Support relationships with journalists and media outlets across local to national markets.
• Prepare spokespeople for media opportunities and coordinate logistics.
