Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago is seeking an experienced Policy Analyst to join our Policy Team, focused on child welfare, juvenile justice, homelessness, and mental health services. This role supports state and local jurisdictions to apply evidence in system transformation.

The position offers remote work within the United States, with periodic in-person meetings in Chicago and travel as needed, and reports to a Senior Policy Analyst or Policy Fellow.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, public policy, psychology or a related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• At least five years of experience implementing child welfare processes and policy.
• Experience with Motivational Interviewing as a clinical practice or intervention.
• Familiarity with continuous quality improvement and policy infrastructure.
• Lived Experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to translate research findings into actionable steps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to work independently in a collaborative policy environment.
• Willingness to travel for in-person meetings as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Chapin Hall's support to jurisdictions implementing Motivational Interviewing.
• Develop training and workforce resources for MI implementation.
• Guide jurisdictional leaders in MI claiming strategy.
• Manage components of policy projects and coordinate activities.
• Develop and submit project deliverables and communications.
• Synthesize research findings to inform implementation plans.
• Translate data into practical decisions and policy change.
• Support continuous quality improvement and system change initiatives.
• Provide coaching to mid-level leaders in child welfare.
• Engage external stakeholders through meetings and communications.
• Balance competing priorities across multiple projects.
