Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of civilian administrative or operational experience in a law-enforcement or public safety agency.
• Experience supervising or managing staff in a law-enforcement or public safety context.
• Knowledge of public information or media relations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, manage, and evaluate Police Department support services.
• Coordinate public safety technology projects and related systems.
• Serve as the department's Public Information Officer and spokesperson.
• Develop policies, procedures, and training for staff and operations.
• Monitor compliance with laws and standards governing records and confidentiality.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for City decision-making.
• Collaborate with City departments and external partners on initiatives.
